I had a wonderful visit to Bikram Yoga Albuquerque. I took two 90 minute classes. Both classes were hot and strong dialogue. The teachers had passion and knowledge. The owner, Kristin, is very welcoming and friendly. The other teacher, Shannon, was also very friendly and fun! The students are at all different levels of physical capability so every person feels like they belong. There is a positive energy about the studio and community. I look forward to visiting again.
You want me to touch my forehead to my KNEE?” This is what I
remember thinking during my first Bikram yoga class. “Am I supposed
to be able to do that??” I found this yoga after completing my MBA
in late 2008. I had been going to school full time and working full
time for six and a half years and after completing my degree I was
eager to focus more on a healthy lifestyle. I thought what better
way to start than with yoga. After my first class I was sweaty,
sore, and happy. As I continued my practice I felt better both
physically and mentally. After about a year I decided to do a
challenge. Thirty days turned into sixty days and at the end I was
pleased with my progress and more enthusiastic about the yoga than
ever.
