Surya Mayee has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2008. She teaches a blend of Hatha and Kali Natha yoga styles, ending the class with at least 20 minutes of pranayama and meditation. For inspiration, she draws from many sources of wisdom, including her guru Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati, her teacher Swami Jaya Devi and Tibetan and Hindu tantric teachings.
Surya Mayee feels that the best thing about teaching yoga and meditation is having a place to share all that she is learning in her own practice, which she uses to transform stress and negativity into happiness.
Surya Mayee is currently working on her 500-hour Kali Natha Yoga certification.
