Sallie Herrold fell in love with yoga several years ago when
her best friend Kerri Pickett-Hoffman invited her to a hot yoga
class at Sumits Yoga. Everyone’s body has a way it wants to move.
For Sallie, that way is yoga. She decided to take a teacher
training with internationally renowned yoga instructor Gabriel
Azoulay because she wanted to grow in her own practice.
In June 2012, Sallie had a dream that she owned a yoga studio in Boise’s North End. A few days later she learned that the Hollywood Market was for sale. Sallie and her husband Jim submitted an offer, and in late July 2012, they picked up the key to Sallie’s dream.
The first time she stepped into the space, Sallie fell in love with the amazing energy and history of the building and the former owner Margaret Lawrence who had operated the market for 45 years. Her mantra sign “Happiness is Spoken Here” was hung outside the building.
Platform Architects and Level Construction were hired to completely transform the 112 year old former market into a new space for happiness. Gabriel Azoulay agreed to return to Boise and conduct teacher trainings in his unique H3 (hot, happy, healthy) flow.
