Shirley was amazing! I attend a session of Yin yoga. She made me feel so relaxed and comfortable even in my own home ( I attended a livestream). I hope she will be able to offer additional courses online.
Elisa is a passionate yoga practitioner of 15 years, and mom to a very energetic baby boy. She started her yoga path in her early 20s with Hatha Yoga to relieve sciatica pain due to over-exercising. Yoga, and the additional benefits of meditation, have completely changed her mindset. It’s when she was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga though that the love for the yoga mat became real.
Every day practice (meditation counts as practice!) is part of her routine and her feel-good medicine. Originally from Italy, she moved to Leonardtown right before pandemic hit. Practice became even stronger then, to “survive” lockdown in a completely new country and town. She has since become certified as a yoga teacher and is eager to help others on the path of yoga, including the practices of pranayama, meditation, and, of course, yoga asana inspired by Ashtanga Yoga. She is also a certified Kids Yoga teacher, as well as Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga teacher, as she firmly believes that yoga is accessible to everyone, to all the bodies, to develop breath and strength of mind and body.
