Nicole comes from an athletic background, having played college volleyball, now enjoying fitness in many modalities including running half marathons, CrossFit, Pilates/Lagree, and her yoga practice. As a former group fitness instructor, Nicole found her passion in instruction and having fun while exercising. Nicole's classes are structured to help others find his/her personal strength, offering modifications and encouraging challenges. You'll never take the same class twice as her flows are created intuitively using music, poetry, books, curiosity, and each student as inspiration. As a self-proclaimed music enthusiast, she uses her playlists to help guide her class sequences.
She strives to live a life of wellness and holds her 200 hr certification in vinyasa yoga, is an AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor, a NASM personal trainer, a NASM certified nutrition coach, and is currently certified in Buti Yoga, Yoga Shred, Warrior Rhythm, Warrior Strength, and her personal favorite, Yoga Sculpt. She loves learning and feels that education is best derived from personal experience working directly with her students and taking classes from other instructors. Nicole has been teaching for over five years and has enjoyed working with both children and adults. As a mother of two, she is particularly enthusiastic about the bond that families can create through physical activity and healthy habits.
Nicole's positive energy and bubbly personality allow students to feel at home on their mats and safe in their space. “Yoga isn't about mastering a pose. Much like life, it's about having fun on the journey and learning throughout the process. I embrace the growth mindset of allowing freedom to fail, it provides feedback on how to succeed.”

Mary has always been one to maintain physical activity, primarily cycling and running. As part of a New Years resolution three years ago, she decided to give yoga a try as she was looking for “something to do” a couple of nights each week. Mary came upon Blue Sky and was immediately drawn in and desired to explore and continue a personal yoga practice. She had initially felt yoga would not provide her with a “true” workout and it would be too “easy” . . . suffice to say, her initial theories quickly proved inaccurate. Mary is a firm believer yoga should be a part of everyone's life. There are many different options to explore and provide physical challenges and/or relish in restorative/meditative bliss.
Being a more active individual, Mary enjoys teaching Vinyasa
flow classes, strength training and would like to also branch out
to offer restorative and gentle classes.
