Thrive Yoga Frisco has a wonderful variety of classes and community events. I've had a lot of fun trying the different class styles and seeing how each teacher approaches things in their own way. The studio has a nice mix of active classes and more rejuvenating slower styles like Restorative as well as a lot of special events. It's great to be able to walk to class right off Main Street in Frisco.
Brittany began practicing yoga in
2007 as a college student. She took her first class as a university
student and became fascinated with the process of self-inquiry and
cultivating greater self-awareness. In 2008, she got her first
200-Hour Certification as Konalani Yoga Ashram on the Big Island of
Hawaii. Life on the ashram taught Brittany about living a yogic
lifestyle and she returned for two more summers to assist with the
ashram's 200 hour teacher trainings.
Brittany realized how hard it was to be
a full-time yoga teacher and so after nine years of teaching she
decided to purchase a yoga studio in Crested Butte, CO. It was her
goal to influence the yoga industry in a way that would help
create full-time professional opportunities for dedicated yoga
teachers. Thrive Yoga has since expanded from Crested Butte to five
studios across Colorado and Texas. You can learn more about the
studios here.
Since 2017, she has trained to teach
Yin, Restorative, and Pre-Natal Yoga. Brittany has
supported and assisted in numerous teacher trainings including
Prana Vinyasa and YogaWorks methods, and is currently working to
build a teacher training curriculum for Thrive Yoga Studios.
She most enjoys studying and practicing with teachers such as
Tiffany Cruikshank, Meghan Currie and Luciana Ross.
Her favorite styles to practice and
teach are Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. Her classes have been described as
adventurous, grounded and relevant. You can expect unique,
challenging sequencing that draws infinite parallels between yoga
and life. All levels are always welcome.
