I came to Drishtiq Yoga in Mason, Oh on a suggestion from a friend. Having been to numerous studios in Cincinnati, I can state without question that they are by far the best! Their caring attitude, coupled with their desire for everyone to succeed and grow through yoga, is superb.
My senior year of acting school in an undergrad degree, I was feeling anxiety about my future, whether or not I was good enough to be an actress, and overall had a negative outlook on life. It wasn't until one day in January 2018 my best friend took me to my first hot vinyasa flow, and I was hooked. Even though I didn't understand fully what was happening, whether I was doing it correctly, or why I felt so good, I wanted to explore more. Eventually, I was going to class every day and reading and learning as much as I could about yoga. It was then that it dawned on me that this is something else I very much want in life along with my theatre and film career. I want to delve into my yoga practice more each and every day, and help others feel as good as I do. Before I even graduated from college, I was researching where I could do Teacher Training in the Cincinnati area later in the year that would fit perfectly into my schedule, and that's how I found DRISHTIQ. This studio has become my home, where I have made friends I never would have thought I would have, and have learned from such intelligent and inspiring women that make me want to be just as knowledgeable about the practice. Yoga is so much more than a physical exercise and second career to me, however. It's made my creativity as an actress 100% more clear and enhanced. It's how I cope mentally. It's gotten me out of many ruts and obstacles and has brought me closer to peace of mind I never thought I would achieve. I'm eternally grateful to have found yoga at a young age, and I intend to practice for years and years to come. With that all said, thank you for sharing your practice with me, as we learn and grow together. Namaste.
