Erika has been teaching yoga since 2010 after receiving her 200-hour certification through Core Power Yoga in Chicago. She started practicing in 2001 at the YMCA in her hometown of Decatur, IL. During those first few experiences on her mat, she became aware of the potential power that a yoga practice brings to a person's life.
She has taught over 1500 hours of yoga, earning her E-RYT certification through Yoga Alliance. Currently she is teaching studio classes, private classes, providing workshops in local studios, hosting yoga retreats and contributing to the teacher training programs at Kali Yuga Yoga in Nashville, TN.
She specializes in proper alignment of the poses and anatomy of the body. She also has extensive experience holding workshops and training on the yogic philosophies. Yoga's philosophy of the mind/body connection makes so much sense to Erika. Everyday she continues to be blown away by how her increasing self-awareness helps her to live a healthier and happier life. Simply put, She wants everyone to experience that. So, let's do some yoga.
