I love yoga.  I love everything about yoga.  My favorite part is the way yoga makes me feel mentally, which is why I keep coming back for more!  I really do let that shit go during class! It’s as if all my problems go away just for that time that I’m practicing and I’m totally present in my mind and body. I’ve done yoga for a long time, starting in college, when it was a just a physical practice for me.  After college, I went to different yoga studios in the KC metro area before finding my yoga “home” at Maya Yoga downtown.  I practiced downtown for a few years before opening my studio in Olathe.I’ve always been a teacher, in fact, my very first ”job” was at 12 or 13 when I taught 5 year old girls and boys gymnastics at the YMCA in North Topeka.  I love teaching.  It’s one of my favorite things to do, so it’s not surprising that I teach something like gymnastics to adults.  Don’t get the wrong idea, we don’t do anything too crazy or anything that would cause injury!  I teach a variety of classes, from beginners to “advanced” yoga, and yes, we do handstands in some of the classes.I truly believe that anyone and everyone can LET THAT SHIT GO and practice yoga, because yoga doesn’t have to be hard, demanding or intimidating.  It’s just has to be about you.  You being present mentally, no matter the physical limitations or restrictions. Thank you to all my teachers/mentors, in order of mentorship: Sue Park, Emily Darling, Kathleen and Wade Mortenson, Alexandria Crow, Jessa Voos, Lise Kuecker, Nathan Wisdom and many more that I can't remember!
