Sat Siri first experienced yoga's profoundly transformative healing power in college. Hatha yoga and Vipassana Meditation formed the basis of her private sadhana (personal practice) during a twenty-year career in book publishing. That career ended when she was sidelined by a multi-year period of severe illness brought about by undiagnosed Lyme Disease. During that time Sat Siri found her own motto: “If you can breathe, you can do yoga.”
Introduced to Kundalini Yoga in 1999, it became the primary vehicle for her healing process, providing the road map to other modalities as well. Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan inspired her to become a teacher, to share this form of healing. Her own teacher is Guru Dev Singh Khalsa, the Master of Sat Nam Rasayan®. Guru Dev was Yogi Bhajan’s chosen student, the one to whom he gave the lineage of Sat Nam Rasayan®. Guru Dev inspired Sat Siri to become a Sat Nam Rasayan® healer and teacher. Sat Nam Rasayan® is a meditative state that allows those who practice it to open their inner universe to the discovery of the Universal Self and to dissolve the resistances that block the flow of life and the obstacles that stand in the way for the complete realization of one's own life.
Sat Siri has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since 2003 and has been practicing Sat Nam Rasayan since 2006. Sat Siri has also studied with Yogi Amrit Desai and is a certified Amrit Method® Yoga Nidra Facilitator.
Sat Siri is a compassionate and loving teacher whose joy is in supporting others in their journey of healing.
