Kerry is the co-owner of Balance Yoga. She is a yoga teacher, yoga therapist (IAYT) and massage therapist. She also wears all the hats that a small business owner wears, cleaner, scheduler, social media guru etc. Kerry began practicing yoga in 1998. Initially drawn to yoga for its ability to strengthen the body and increase flexibility, she soon grew to crave the mental calm experienced during and after asana practice. In 2010 after 12 years of personal practice she attending a 200 hour yoga teacher training at the Himalayan Institute. She has been teaching yoga classes ever since. In 2019, Kerry completed an 800 hour therapeutic Yoga program through Spanda Yoga with Dr. Jaime Stover Schmitt. This indepth, advanced training involved a deep study of yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, and the connection between body, mind, and spirit. It Focused on group classes with specific medical goals (relief from back pain, recovery from knee surgery etc.) and one-on-one work with the aim of helping people move from areas where they feel stuck (both physically and emotionally) to greater freedom and happiness.  Whether teaching beginners classes, specialty therapeutic classes, Hatha yoga or Vinyasa, Kerry focuses on helping people feel comfortable and confident in their bodies and minds. She believes deeply that yoga is for all people and her classes reflect this.
