So great! Loved being able to attend class from my backyard and this class kicked my butt. There are so many classes I can't attend due to work schedule but will try to take advantage of working from home days!
Diane has been practicing yoga for about four years now. Since the first time she stepped onto the mat, she was hooked! Her purpose for seeking out yoga was to relax and check in with herself. Although she was a bit nervous and anxious about trying yoga, she jumped right in. Her life had taken some drastic turns prior to her first practice. Diane was a stay at home mom of three amazing children. She had just wrapped up a 10 year stint in the corporate world and, needless to say, wasn't handling all of the life changes the way she had expected. She needed an outlet to decompress and a way to take care of herself, so she could be the best Mom and Wife that she could be. It turns out yoga was the solution! Who knew? Not long after, she was practicing 5-7 days a week and began to notice differences in her mind AND her body. She felt the subtle changes that simply BREATHING can bring. She began to see things from a different perspective and started becoming more aware of the simple moments in life that typically passed right by without a second glance. Diane had experienced an epiphany! It was then that she realized she wanted to teach Yoga.. to share her love of yoga and help guide people toward that same special state of awareness that she had discovered. After moving to Florida in the fall of 2013, she first practiced at home and then began visiting local studios in Saint Augustine. That is how she happened upon The Dancing Warrior. Her desire and passion to teach others was overwhelming. She signed up for the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Den in Jacksonville. Diane says she is humbled and proud to have graduated in April 2016. In addition to receiving her 200 Hour certification she also completed the Street Yoga Trauma Informed Level 1 Teacher Training in April 2015. She is looking forward to not only working with beginners that have just started their yoga journey, but also in leading fellow yogis in their practice, helping them build upon their connection between the mind, body, and breath.
