Jerrod is a very knowledgeable teacher. He customizes each class on the fly according to what the students in the class need. He provides options and modifications to meet the needs of each student. As a fellow teacher, I can say this is much more difficult than coming with a class that was prepared in advance without knowing your audience/what specific issues they are dealing with. Yin Yoga is very challenging for some students because it requires the student to slow down and hold poses longer. In a world that is always moving, finding stillness can be difficult. There are so many benefits for the mind and body when we slow down. We have become human do-ings rather than human beings. I have found much personal benefit to learning how to just be. Highly recommend Jerrod, Yin Yoga and the Yoga Center of Steamboat.
Chelsea Skywalker began her yoga journey in 2010, after she became hooked on the free classes offered at her college campus. Movement has always been a part of her life. From swimming, tennis, gymnastics and softball, she noticed sports gave her the stress and anxiety release she needed, as did her yoga practice
In 2019, she signed up for a 200 hour yoga teacher training, with the hopes of gaining more knowledge for her personal practice. A few months after completing her training, Chelsea loved sharing what she learned to help others to explore themselves every time they step on and off the mat, and began teaching at various recreation centers around Denver.
In class, Chelsea will encourage you to find the playfulness within yourself as you practice and explore your unique body. You can expect to link your breath to movements, find moments of stillness and always a moment to embrace who you truly are. Currently, she is working on completing her 300 hour teacher training and is also certified in Kids Yoga and Yin Yoga. Outside of the studio, you can catch Chelsea practicing yoga on a slackline, chasing her Wookie pup, Chewie or forever on a journey to learn any circus trick while running around barefoot in local parks.
