Originally from the small town of Riesel, Texas, I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas and lived in Austin for nineteen years. After studying Kinesiology, Health Promotion and Fitness at the University of Texas, I worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for a number of years at Austin-area gyms and country clubs before founding iGnite in 2006 based on my passions for outdoor exercise, positive communication, being part of an encouraging community and a deep desire to inspire women to honor their temples, reach their fullest potential and live their greatest lives. I am so honored and humbled that now over 9 years later, iGnite has impacted and changed the lives of countless Austin-area women with our unique program and philosophy.
My husband Russell and I have two children, Durant (4 yrs) and Malaine (2 yrs), and a loving extended family that we spend time with often. I am immensely blessed! Now understanding the many demands of being a woman — wife, mother, caretaker, professional, and more — I am passionate to build a community that encourages a healthy, balanced and meaningful lifestye and whose emphasis is on staying fit so we can serve others. Through iGnite, my team and I work everyday to inspire and encourage women to nurture their bodies, minds and spirits and live an impactful and awesome life.
