Centerfield Baseball and Softball Academy

We’ve been members at centerfield for the better part of a year now.  My oldest plays for 5-Star, the baseball organization that runs operations out of this location.  It’s a great place for extra reps and the owner, directors, and coaches all have great experience in developing young players.  My son has started Catching Classes with Coach Richie.  Richie really has a great heart for young athletes, and my son has responded well to him.  We’re looking forward to checking out more lessons and classes that Centerfield and 5-Star have to offer!

I have come to realize that, although I feel like I know EVERYTHING about baseball (lol), my son’s ability has exceeded my level of knowledge. Due to this I try to keep an eye out for “baseball guys”…guys who still have enthusiasm along with their teaching skill. My son was participating in a Hittrax League at Centerfield led by Richie. I recognized right away that Richie still has that spark that I look for in the guys I want helping my son with his progress. After only one session I already see an improvement, and more importantly my son understands the adjustments he made. We will definitely be spending more time with Richie Laurin at Centerfield Baseball Academy. Thanks Richie!

We just finished the first day at the Hit Lab.  It was great. Lots of reps and lots of hands on guidance.  My son is walking around the house working on what he learned already.

We are relatively to Centerfield but definitely glad we found it!  One of my sons is all-in on baseball and pitching, and in just two lessons thus far with Alan I've noticed a huge difference already with my son (who is 9) slowing down and remembering more with his mechanics versus him previously getting the ball in his hand and throwing it as soon (and as hard) as he possibly can.
I'd initially scheduled these lessons as prep for my son's tryout but we plan to continue to work with Alan going forward even after the tryouts as he's been great to work with!

Tonight we worked with Tanner on batting. He is patient with the kids and explains very clearly the concepts he is teaching. Didn’t try to change my sons dynamics just worked on honing some gaps in the swing. Would highly recommend Tanner for lessons!!!

Private lessons with Tanner at Centerfield is the best decision we’ve made. Everyone has seen a huge improvement in my son’s swing and he is so much more confident in the batters box. Tanner is the best hitting coach we’ve had by far, and I recommend him to anyone!

My son goes here for catching lesson (Richie Laurin). He teaches the correct mechanics and drills. Definitely recommended.
