Heather started ballet at three years old and enjoyed a variety of roles in ballet productions until she discovered and joined the Pacific Ballroom Dance team during her high school years. At Brigham Young University, Heather studied ballroom and latin dance theory and technique, earned High Honors in the Gold Bar medals exam, and competed in Ballroom, Latin, and American Smooth competitions while earning a Bachelor's degree in Health Education. As a member of the BYU Ballroom Dance Company, Heather participated in several performing tours including to Blackpool, England where her team won the Open British Formation Championships in 2010. Heather enjoyed teaching social, country, and ballroom dance at BYU and is thrilled to be involved with PBD where the joy of dance is infused with the development of life skills. Heather directs PBD’s Junior Premier team and is a Teaching Artist in the Dancing Classrooms program.
