As an aerialist moving from another state and searching for a new studio, I was worried I wouldn't find one I'd fit into. I found SOUL online and decided to give their level 2 lyra class a go. My last studio was like a family so I was worried I wouldn't find that again but I luckily was proven wrong. From the get go I was greeted with a smile and a short tour. Ryan, the instructor made a point to meet me as soon as she walked in. All the students were so welcoming and kind and I felt instantly part of the group. On top of the vibe, the place is clean and has plenty of equipment. It is a really neat place and I can't wait to go back.
Gabriella first stepped foot on a stage at the young age of three,
and hasn't been able to shake performing since. She spent the first
20 years of her life dedicating her time and energy to all forms of
dance. She has trained and studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern,
contemporary, ballroom, and acrobatics. She
continued her education at The Evergreen State College and received
a Bachelor's of Arts in Dance and Movement
It wasn't until she was 21 years old when she discovered circus arts. She began training on fabric, corde lisse, and static trapeze at The Aviary in Olympia, WA under Sara Sparrow. Then she went on to perform a couple of shows with The Cabiri in Seattle, WA and now performs with Host of Sparrows Aerial Circus in Richmond, VA. She has developed a deep love for the trapeze, and she focuses most of her energy into that apparatus, admired by how free and how much room the trapeze allowed for creative expression. She pursues circus arts with a desire to create, stimulate ideas, and to always push the limit.
