A Beginner Dance class is designed for individuals who are new to dance but have had an introductory level training in basic technique. Students should have 1-2 years of prior dance experience on the specific style of the class. If you have never taken a Ballet class before, we recommend you start with the Absolute Beginner Ballet course. Ballet is a classical dance form that emphasizes grace, precision, and strength, focusing on controlled movements, posture, and technique. In this class, students will learn foundational steps, including pliés, tendus, and arabesques, while building flexibility, balance, and poise. Ideal for both beginners and those looking to refine their skills, ballet provides a strong foundation for all dance styles. Class Structure: Warm-up: Gentle exercises to prepare the body and activate core muscles. Barre Work: Traditional barre exercises focusing on port de bras and core strength. Center Technique: Adagio, pirouettes, petit allégro, and grand allégro, emphasizing control and technique. Musicality and Choreography: Explore combinations set to both classical and contemporary music, enhancing musicality and expression.
