In this class we will be stretching and preparing the body for contortion training . We will work on active release techniques, nerve flosses, and both active & passive stretching. We will be utilizing multiple props as well as incorporating flexibility strength and conditioning drills to help students reach a more advanced level of flexibility. This class teaches primarily Mongolian Contortion training techniques with a focus on the upper back & neck areas of the body. Students will have the option to accept hands on assistance from the instructor to help them get deeper into their positions safely. Skills that will be covered Intro to Scorpion Bridge/wheel pose Teardrop/Bow Pose positions Needle positions & other standing leg poses Breathing technique in deep backbends Proper alignment and engagement in deep backbend positions
