Coach Rudy started fencing in 1984 and was trained by such noted coaches as Hungarian Olympian Madame Maria Luecksi, Maestro Al Couturier, and Maestro Misha Itkin. He was the founding president of the University of Southern California fencing club, teaching many of the beginning through advanced fencing classes on campus. Rudy also served as the Head Coach for USC’s Collegiate Men and Women Fencing Teams for over 10 years. With over three decades of fencing experience and many medals and trophies along the way, he has motivated many interested enthusiasts in the art of fencing through his dedication of coaching and class instruction.
