“So why should I join CrossFit Louisville East over xxx
gym”?
I often get this question when people are considering joining
CFLE over another CrossFit gym or Globo gym.  Here are a few
things you should consider when looking at gyms/trainers
(boxes/coaches in CrossFit lingo):
1. Experience level of your trainer/coach.
 
*What qualifications do they
possess?  Research what is required to obtain
each Certification.  Not all are created equal.
 Legitimate    certifications have testing
procedures that are held to national standards.
 *How long have they been training/coaching?
 There is much to learn in this field in order to
address individual personal training needs & to properly,
safely, and effectively scale a CrossFit WOD for everyone in class.
 Check the record of your trainer/coach by talking to those
they currently train.  The “After a few months of working out
I decided to open a gym/start personal training” answer should
be a warning sign!
*What is their fitness
level?  Although the best trainers/coaches are
typically not the best natural born athlete a trainer/coach should
be able to demonstrate correct technique on every movement and a
high skill level.
2. “Do I have to sign a contract”?  No.
 All of our memberships are month to month, you can cancel at
any time.
3. Two locations for one price!  When you
join CrossFit Louisville East you also have full access to CrossFit
The Ville at 909 East Market!
4. Open Gym Hours.  Many CrossFit gyms are
only open during classes.  We give you the option to sign up
for just Open gym or classes.  Either way you have unlimited
access to two gyms at any time during our normal hours.
5. AC/Heat, Showers, etc.  We’re all
about high intensity training and doing things the hard way but we
also realize that when it’s 100 degrees outside you’ll be able to
push yourself harder in a not so extreme climate!  This is
also for your safety.  We don’t cancel classes for extreme
temperatures.  We also realize you may have to work for a
living and your co-workers will like you better if you can shower
after your workout!
6. Advantage Fitness gym equipment.  In
addition to all of our CrossFit specific equipment we also have
various modalities of strength training equipment, treadmills,
versa climbers, air dyne, recumbent, and upright bikes, etc.
 We also have functional & sport specific equipment.
 If you want to do CrossFit but your spouse just wants a place
to do “normal” workouts you can both feel at home here.
7. Large workout areas.  With
approximately 5000 square feet at each location (and an additional
50,000 square feet at Louisville East of tennis court space) and
large parking lots we have largest CrossFit locations in town.
8. CrossFit Classes 7 days a week!  We
continue to add more classes as demand increases.
9. Free bodyfat analysis for Unlimited Members.
 Need proof that training under our guidance works?
 You need to accurately monitor bodyfat along with strength
gains.  We’re here to keep you on track!
10. Special Holiday Workouts.  Every
Holiday we put on free workouts that all are invited to and they
are a blast!  These started years ago in my garage with a few
clients and friends and have grown to where we are today…75 people
on Thanksgiving morning!
