T&Y Ballet Studio provides professional
classical ballet training in Toronto for children, teens, and
adults, rooted in the Vaganova tradition. The studio is led by
Sabina Yapparova, former leading ballerina of the Mikhailovsky
Theatre, and Konstantin Tkachuk, whose professional career included
the Mariinsky Theatre, the Mikhailovsky Theatre, and most recently
The National Ballet of Canada. Together, they bring decades of
professional stage and teaching experience into the
studio.
Programs range from foundational ballet
training for younger students to intensive pre-professional study
for dedicated dancers preparing for advanced training, performance,
and competition.
Our training focuses on the development of
strong classical technique, alignment, musicality, coordination,
strength, discipline, and artistry within a focused and structured
environment. Depending on age and level, students may study
classical ballet technique, pointe work, repertoire, conditioning,
flexibility, contemporary dance, and competition
preparation.
Students of T&Y Ballet Studio have
participated in international ballet competitions including YAGP,
ADC IBC, Global Dance Open, and UBC (Universal Ballet Competition),
gaining valuable performance experience and a deeper understanding
of professional stage standards.
We believe serious ballet training develops
more than technique. It builds discipline, resilience, confidence,
musical awareness, artistic expression, and respect for the work
itself. Small class sizes allow our teachers to provide individual
attention, detailed corrections, and consistent guidance, helping
each student progress with clarity, purpose, and strong technical
foundations.
