A retired psychology professor, Glynn started pole in 2015, but didn’t take it seriously until he went, for the first time, to watch the prestigious “Pole Legends” competition late in 2017. Blown away by the amazing performances he saw on stage, he resolved to do his best to emulate them. Training seriously from that day on, he has himself, been a Legends performer on three occasions, won the “Expert” category of the Auckland heat of the 2018 New Zealand Amateur Pole Performer championships, took fourth place in both the Masters (over-35) and Men’s divisions in the 2019 Pole Championship Series in Melbourne and won the Showboy award at the 2021 Mr Pole Dance event in Sydney.Glynn loves the joy of passing on his skills to others, training as an instructor at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels with the Ecole de Pole. He has taught both regular classes and specialist workshops and is thrilled to be joining the Viva team. He regards himself as “seriously lacking in talent”, but is a firm believer that, in Pole, Persistence Pays!
