Sophie is a Chicago-based performer, choreographer, teacher, and collaborator who imbues playfulness and nuance in all her endeavors. She has studied Countertechnique® since 2019, including three One Body One Career intensives, and successfully completed the Countertechnique® Teacher Training program in 2023. Sophie is on faculty at The Grainger Academy of The Joffrey Ballet in Chicago, facilitates the Chicago Countertechnique® Community Class Series, and offers open classes at The Rooted Space and beyond. Sophie holds both a BFA in Dance and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from The University of Michigan. www.sophieminouche.com
