I grew up with zero dance experience growing up, and ballroom found me relatively late in life. In college, I needed an easy class to qualify as a full-time student and decided to take a beginner social dance class. Like a snowball rolling down a hill, that decision gained momentum and mass, and before long, I was deeply involved in technical training, competitions, and formation team ballroom dancing. My ballroom has given me a profound appreciation for dance as an art form and has provided me with invaluable and unique experiences unlike any others. As a teacher, my goal is to inspire both beginners like I once was and seasoned dancers alike. Whether by teaching something new or offering insights to improve their dancing, I aim to enhance each student’s experience. Dancing is one of those rare activities that can evoke unexplainable feelings of joy and excitement, and I hope that by sharing my passion and experience, I can help others feel those emotions too.
