Dance Studio

Our studio classes follow a progressive structure, teaching the
On2 salsa style. Each week, the instructor reviews material from
the previous class and introduces new techniques. This allows the
entire class to advance together through our curriculum, ultimately
reaching an advanced level.
Class Structure:



Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes, once a week.




Format:



The first 30 minutes focus on footwork and foundational skills
needed for executing turns.




The remaining hour is dedicated exclusively to turn patterns and
combinations.






 
Key Details:

Experience is required for Intermediate and Advanced
classes.




No Partner Required: Most of our students join individually,
seeking a fun new hobby. You'll find plenty of dance partners to
practice with.



If you’re an experienced dancer new to our studio, you can join
an ongoing class. Use our chart below to determine which class
level suits you best.

Salsa Class - Beg/Inter (Started Feb 2025)

Since 2004, Salsa Salsa
Dance Studio has been offering expert salsa instruction to
Brooklyn’s diverse dance community. Founded by instructors and
performers Marcus and Jose, the original Salsa Salsa studio was
established in Bushwick, Brooklyn, with the mission of bringing On2
salsa back to its local roots. Today, that mission continues at our
Park Slope location, where dedicated instructors share their
passion for dance with the wider Brooklyn community.
Students from all
boroughs come to learn, refine their technique, and connect with
others in a fun, welcoming environment. Salsa Salsa offers a
variety of learning opportunities, including twenty weekly classes
for all skill levels, bimonthly socials featuring performances, and
ongoing workshops in styling, bachata, cha-cha-cha, and more.
Our instructors focus
on building confidence and skill in a supportive, growing
community. We encourage students to embrace their unique salsa
style and dance with partners of all levels, from first-time
dancers to more advanced students and instructors. Whether in
beginner or advanced classes, or through our professional
performance teams, our instructors provide personal attention while
fostering a strong sense of community that extends to salsa events
and socials across New York City.

Studio is conveniently located on 4th Avenue near Brooklyn’s
Atlantic Center, just a few blocks from the Barclays Center, Fort
Greene’s theater district, and Park Slope’s vibrant salsa social
scene. We are proud to be part of a thriving arts and performance

10 Class Punch Package

With the 1 Class-Per-Week monthly package, beginners are encouraged to stick to the same class each week to build a strong foundation, stay consistent with instruction, and progress more smoothly. This helps you retain material, become familiar with the instructor’s teaching style, and grow more confident week to week.

However, you’re absolutely free to choose a different day and time each week if that works better for your schedule. Just be sure to select a class that matches your level, and feel free to reach out if you ever need guidance on which class to attend. We're here to support your dance journey every step of the way!

Monthly Membership - 1 Class a week

With the 2 Classes-Per-Week monthly package, you have the flexibility to attend two group classes each week. For the best results, especially if you're a beginner, we recommend choosing two consistent weekly classes that match your level. This allows you to steadily build skills, retain material, and develop confidence with structured progression.

That said, you're also welcome to mix and match class days and times each week based on your schedule or preferences. Just be sure to choose classes appropriate to your experience level. If you’re unsure which classes are the best fit, we’re happy to help guide you.

Consistency, along with a little variety, can go a long way in helping you grow in your dance journey!

Monthly Membership - 2 Classes a week

With the 3 Classes-Per-Week monthly package, you have the opportunity to immerse yourself more deeply in your dance journey by attending up to three group classes each week. For maximum benefit, we recommend selecting a mix of consistent weekly classes—either all at your level or with a blend that challenges you appropriately as you progress.

This package is perfect for those looking to accelerate their learning, improve technique, and build muscle memory through more frequent practice. You're welcome to change up your schedule week to week, as long as the classes align with your skill level.

This package offers maximum flexibility. You’re welcome to follow a consistent routine, explore different instructors and styles, or mix it up week to week based on your schedule and goals. For beginners, we suggest regularly attending classes at your level to build a solid foundation, then branching out as you gain confidence.

Please note that certain specialty classes, workshops, or events may not be included in this package and could require an additional fee. If you’re ever unsure, just ask—we’re happy to clarify.
