Brooklyn-born and raised, Andy Mata has been a dedicated member of Salsa Salsa Dance Studio since 2005. Known for his vibrant personality and relentless work ethic, Andy quickly earned the respect of both his peers and the studio's owners.His talent and commitment have propelled him into the role of instructor, becoming one of Salsa Salsa’s standout teachers. As an understudy of Jose Rivera, Marcus Gonzalez, and Ray Colon, Andy absorbed a wealth of knowledge and developed a style all his own. He brings fiery passion, a commanding presence, and a uniquely effective teaching method to the Salsa Salsa family.With a memory like no other, Andy is the go-to person if you ever forget a salsa step. Currently a member of the dance team “Oroana,” you can catch him performing across New York City.
