Welcome to Beginner Lyra! This class is perfect for those new to the world of aerial hoop or those with minimal experience. Here, you'll learn the essential skills needed to get comfortable on the hoop, building both strength and confidence. You’ll start with foundational grips, basic mounts, and simple poses while developing your upper body strength and core control. As you progress, we’ll introduce beginner-level spins, transitions, and simple tricks that will allow you to flow through the air with ease and grace. Our instructor will guide you step by step, ensuring you develop a solid foundation and a deeper understanding of how to safely and effectively work with the hoop. No prior experience is needed—just bring your energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to learn something new. Class Details: Level: Beginner Focus: Basic mounts, poses, spins, and building strength Equipment: No experience required, just comfortable clothing, coverage is good for this apparatus. Fitted shirt tucked into leggings is ideal.
Please wear leggings and a comfortable fitted shirt (shirt preferably tucked into leggings; so no crop tops). Wear workout type clothing only; no jeans, buttons, or zippers. Shoes and socks will be removed upon entry (unless taking an exotic pole class). ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELRY ON THE EQUIPMENT PLEASE. Please do not apply any lotion the day of your class(es); as it will make the equipment slippery and difficult to grip.
