About the Class

Our Mixed Level Pole class combines Intermediate and Advanced students in a dynamic, supportive environment. This class is designed to challenge you while offering modifications to suit both levels. You’ll have the opportunity to work on more complex tricks, advanced spins, and dynamic transitions, while also refining your intermediate-level skills and building strength and control. Whether you’re working on perfecting your technique or tackling advanced moves, this class allows you to progress at your own pace while being inspired by others. You’ll receive individualized guidance and feedback, ensuring you’re constantly growing and feeling confident in your practice. Class Details: Level: Mixed (Intermediate & Advanced) Focus: Intermediate/Advanced tricks, dynamic combos, transitions, and personalized progressions Prerequisites: This class is a mixed level class for the intermediate and advanced students, which is our level 3 and up. This is not a beginner friendly class. All beginners must start in our Beginner Pole, which is our level 1 & 2! You will be tested and receive a certificate each time you are ready to move up to the next level. Here at Abstract, we have pole levels 1 through 7. For Level 3, we expect you to have already mastered 3 different one-arm spins, a pole sit with no hands for 10 seconds amongst other pole sit variations, three consecutive climbs, a forearm stand, and a controlled descent into a Jasmine, then back up to a Figurehead. In Level 3, we’ll be building on those skills developed in Levels 1 and 2. You will learn moves that involve being upside down with 3 to 4 points of contact, but only through a controlled descent into the inverted position. We are conditioning and training our stamina trying to lengthen our combos and holding each pose in the combo for about 5 seconds. Must know about 75% of the curriculum, be able to descend into an inverted crucifix, and do a 10 move combo on spin pole to move up to level 4. Level 4: We are learning to descend to our invert on spin and work on combos while inverted on spin. Learning more dynamic moves and flips on static as well as inverted moves with 2 or 3 points of contact. We are conditioning and training to deadlift to chopper and shoulder mount. Must know about 75% of the curriculum, have a Deadlift Chopper, and descending shoulder mount to move up to Level 5. (both sides) Level 5: We are taking those inverted moves with 2 or 3 points of contact on to spin pole. Conditioning and training to aerial invert. Working on handspring. Must know about 75% of the level 5 curriculum, have an Ayesha, an aerial chopper and an aerial shoulder mount to move up to level 6. (both sides) Level 6: Learning 1-2 entrances and exits to their hardest moves. Maybe taking those harder moves to spin pole. Conditioning and training to dead lift to brass, iguana and Ayesha. Must know about 75% of the curriculum, aerial chopper on spin, aerial shoulder mount on spin, and you’re your Handspring consistently to move up to level 7. (3 each side) Level 7: Learning 3 or more entrances and exits to your hardest moves. Conditioning and training Iron X, deadlift Ayesha on spin, and Eclipse on static. Still be forever learning, getting stronger, and more bendy! Take all opportunities to learn from different instructors, near and far!
