Contemporary, jazz, hip hop, parent and me, creative movement, ballet & tap combo, Contemporary Ballet Dallas alumnaeAvery was born and raised Dallas, Texas where she began her dance training at a young age. She trained at Dallas Black Dance Academy, The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, and Contemporary Ballet Dallas and is a graduate of Booker T. Washington HSPVA, class of 2016. She received additional training at Debbie Allen Dance Institution, The Ailey School, and Complexions Dance Academy. She received her BFA in Dance Performance with minors in Arts Management and Arts Entrepreneurship from Southern Methodist University in 2020. Avery has had the opportunity to perform works by Robert Battle, Moncell Durden, Adam Hougland, Jessica Lang, Dwight Rhoden, Caleb Teicher and others.  She formerly was a company dancer of B.Moore Dance, and is currently a freelance dancer in Dallas, TX.  Avery recently toured with Norwegian Cruise Lines tour in Europe and the BVI, and is currently back home in Dallas instructing children of various ages at Contemporary.
