“Maculele Miami Brazilian Arts Institute is established to disseminate and celebrate the practice of capoeira, a Brazilian martial-art form with a special focus on promoting healthy and active living and empowering disadvantaged and at-risk youth. Our organization seeks to provide these young people with a safe, drug-free and alcohol-free environment, where they will learn art, tradition, discipline, and respect for others while maintaining a healthy lifestyle and rejecting substance abuse, crime, and gang activity. The organization will foster community awareness and appreciation of capoeira through workshops, seminars, and cultural performances an exhibitions.”
