Lotus Dragon Authentic Tai Chi

Welcome to Sifu Dug Corpolongo’s Lotus Dragon Authentic Chinese Tai Chi. Lotus Dragon is a traditional Chinese Martial Arts school (known as a “kuan” in Chinese). The organization and discipline of traditional Chinese Martial Arts is based on the ancient Confucian household, rather than on a military model like Japanese and Korean martial arts. The Confucian household is rich with traditions of mutual respect, courtesy, and decorum. Your Sifu (teacher) is your Gong fu parent and your classmates are your Gong fu Brothers and Sisters, rather than being your Drill Sergeant and fellow recruits.  As a result, the atmosphere in a traditional Chinese Martial Arts is more relaxed and the students provide their own internal self-discipline, rather than having a rigid regimen imposed on them by the instructor.
