Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves creating tiny, controlled punctures in the skin using a device with fine needles. Thank you for choosing J'esthetics Medspa for your treatment. To help you prepare for your procedure and ensure optimal results, please follow these pre-treatment instructions: 1. If you have active acne in area of treatment or any type of skin irritation (sunburn, open wounds, sores) the day preceding your appointment, please contact us before your appointment. 2. If you have a history of cold sores, please let us know as you might need to be placed on a medication called Valacyclovir. Please follow the instructions on your prescription. 3. If you have recently used spray or self-tanning lotions on treatment areas before your procedure, please call us. 4. Please arrive with fully cleansed skin: no makeup, moisturizers, perfume, cologne, or any other products on the skin. 5. Avoid Retin-A, retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, hydroquinone and benzyl peroxide 3 days prior to treatment. 6. Topical numbing crème will be applied pre-treatment. Notify us of any medication allergies. Microneedling cannot be done while PREGNANT OR NURSING. 7. No sun exposure, tanning beds, self-tanning products for three days prior to the procedure. Procedure will be canceled if you are sunburned. 8. None of the following can be used or performed two weeks prior to treatment: chemical peels, waxing, and chemical depilatories. 9. Do not shave the treated area the day of the procedure 10. Bring a wide brim hat, face cover or scarf day of procedure to wear after your treatment. 11. If you are on autoimmune therapy, ask your provider if the procedure is appropriate for you. 12. Arrive at the office with a “clean face” and please do not wear makeup if possible. If you have followed these pre-treatment instructions and are ready for your treatment, please arrive at our facility at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. MedSpa Late Cancellation & No-Show Policy We understand that unexpected situations arise, but to respect everyone’s time, we have a 48-hour cancellation/modification policy. Cancellations or changes made less than 48 hours before the appointment or no-shows will incur a $50 fee. If a deposit was placed, it will be forfeited. If we are unable to charge your card, future bookings will be withheld until the fee is paid.
