Breathwork is an active meditation technique that facilitates an emotional release. During a session we’ll use a carefully curated playlist designed to evoke an emotional response in your body. You will be guided through 18-23 minutes of an active two part rhythmic breathwork pattern. This pattern is developed from Pranayama - Ancient Yogic Breath and the more recent teachings from Holotropic & Rebirthing techniques developed in the 60’s & 70’s by Stan Grof and Leonard Orr. This active breath will initiate a physical response in your body releasing old, trapped trauma. We’ll then move into 15 - 25 minutes of rest. The rest is just as important as the work, this is where we can feel major releases as we integrate what we’ve just uncovered. I will be by your side for the duration of our time together, you’ll never be alone. You can expect the use of various tools such as essential oils, crystals & chimes to deepen your experience. On a physical level this breath creates a chemical shift (ph balance) in the body by increasing oxygen saturation and decreasing carbon dioxide - this helps to alkalize the blood. We’ll light up and ignite the subconscious part of your mind, getting you out of your head and dropping down into your body. Dress comfortably and in layers, bring a blanket and water with you. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT The following are a list of psychical and mental responses that can arise during a breathwork session.
