Sessions focus on learning the fundamentals of Pilates, including breath, alignment and core stability, helping you to build strength, mobility and body awareness safely. Hannah teaches at a steady, approachable pace, breaking movements down clearly and offering guidance to help you feel confident as you learn. Exercises are taught progressively, with time to explore technique and understand how movements support posture, joint health and everyday movement. This course is suitable for those new to Pilates, returning after a break, or looking to build a strong foundation before moving on to other classes. Pilates is a body conditioning programme which helps build strength, flexibility, control and endurance – emphasising alignment, breath and development of a strong core. After obtaining a degree in Psychology, Hannah trained as an Occupational Therapist and worked in the NHS for many years providing physical rehabilitation for adults with complex neurological, orthopaedic, cardiac and other conditions. Following the birth of her children, Hannah trained as an instructor with Body Control Pilates and has completed her Level 3 Matwork qualification. A regular runner, she is passionate about the benefits of Pilates – whether for rehabilitation, prevention of injury or maintenance of physical fitness.
