About the Class

Breathwork is a general type of therapy that utilises breathing exercises to improve mental, physical, and spiritual health.  By using a gentle conscious breathing technique, we learn to breathe more fully, freely and naturally activating natural healing processes that we all hold within us which allows our own inner healing intelligence to support the process. Pixie will guide you through an hour long session to music. The conscious breathing session is done lying or sitting in a relaxed and comfortable place without distractions. You will learn to consciously connect your breath so that there are no pauses between the inhale and the exhale in a circular motion. The breathing is full and also relaxed. You will be guided to find your own rhythm, probably slightly faster and fuller than you are used to. By connecting with the breath we can tune into our deep intuition, which will always direct us to the best outcome. What happens? Through breathing continuously in a balanced cycle without break, your body takes in more oxygen than usual. Activation of memories, emotions or body sensations can surface to be felt, released and integrated. Through conscious connected breathing you accumulate life force (prana, chi, ki) which starts to move freely through you body (experienced as tingling, energy rushes or waves). Pixie will provides a safe, confidential container for you as she guides you through your own unique breath journey. Be assured you can’t get this wrong. It is best practice to breathe on an empty stomach. Trust that you will only experience what is ready to be felt. Wear comfortable clothing, be hydrated, have to hand a thin pillow, a blanket and maybe a journal to capture any insights that may arise for you. Breathe, Feel, Heal with Pixie.
