About the Appointment

About the appointment: During an in-office appointment you will meet privately with an IBCLC in our comfortable lactation room, complete with a sofa and plenty of room for your partner, family or support persons. Twin consultations last approximately 1.5-2 hours allowing us time to talk about your breastfeeding concerns, answer questions and evaluate a full feeding for each baby. A hospital-grade scale will be used during the consult to help us see how much milk baby drinks during a feeding, which most parents find helpful and reassuring. Many breastfeeding challenges can be resolved in one visit and others can be more of a work-in-progress. Either way, we will work with you to create a breastfeeding plan that you feel comfortable with and will follow-up with you as needed. Follow-up visits are offered to current lactation clients at a reduced rate Booking and Cancellations: You may book in-store appointments 12 hours (or more) in advance, online or over the phone. A credit card is required to hold your appointment and a $100 fee will be charged for no shows or cancellations within 12 hours of your consultation. (If booking an appointment for multiples, please make sure to book a “twin” consult). If you do not find an appointment time that works for you through our online booking or if you are in looking for a same day appointment, please call our store during business hours at (480) 999-1585. We will work with you to find an appointment time! Using insurance for the visit: Your visit may be covered by insurance through The Lactation Network! Use this link to see if you're covered. If you are out of network, we can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Most of our clients find that they can be reimbursed for some-if not all- of the appointment after the session.
