April is a trauma-informed yoga teacher and reiki practitioner. Her intention is to create a safe space for students to meet themselves where they are in the present moment with lots of love and kindness.She started practicing yoga 19 years ago at a local studio in Austin, TX. Los Angeles became home in 2009. She experienced a season of life where she had to step away from a regular asana practice. This led to a deepening of seated meditation and exploring the relaxing benefits of reiki. April studied and recieved her 200 hour teacher training by the Yoga NoHo Center and is grateful for her amazing training she recieved. She values the Yamas and Niyamas and strives to incorporate them into her classes in a compassionate way. Her style of teaching is warm and welcoming to all. Her desire is for students to walk away from class feeling a little bit better than when they first walked in the door. She believes yoga can bring much peace and support to a person's overall well-being. April enjoys time with her dog child and soaking up nature. Going for mindful walks keeps her inspired and grounded. She is grateful to be on this journey of guiding others through their yoga practice.
