Second Trimester: Expansion & Strength Our newest community offering, focused on the unique needs of each stage of pregnancy, while offering a meaningful opportunity to connect with other expecting parents. Each 75-minute class will include a discussion on the physical and emotional challenges of that trimester, including valuable holistic and nutritional tidbits, specific poses, breathwork techniques and grounding meditation, with explanations on why these elements are beneficial during that stage of pregnancy. Each 75-minute class will be structured with: Discussion on the physical and emotional challenges of that trimester, plus nutrition tidbits (eg. “what to look for in a prenatal vitamin” or “surviving heartburn”). 45-minute practice incorporating trimester-specific poses, breathwork techniques and grounding meditation, with explanations on why these elements are beneficial during that stage of pregnancy. As energy begins to return and the body grows, the second trimester is about building strength and embracing expansion. This class will focus on safe strengthening, stability and openness to accommodate the growing belly. Discussion: Physical shifts: Back discomfort, round ligament pain and posture adjustments. Second trimester Nutrition. Emotional transitions: Embracing body changes and deepening connection to pregnancy. Practice: Postures for core stability and back support. Hip and heart openers to create space in the body. Breathwork to enhance lung capacity and calm the nervous system. Meditation to cultivate presence and confidence in the changing body.
