About the Class

Yoga taught in the classical Iyengar method, emphasizing physical alignment in yoga poses to build strength, stamina, balance and flexibility along with developing greater self-awareness. All categories of poses are explored, for example, standing poses, forward extensions, back extensions, twists, inversions, restoratives and pranayama. Poses may be taught in stages and use props, with modifications or alternatives provided so that everyone can participate fully.
