Roots of Regulation – Outdoor Sensory & Self-Regulation Class (Ages 3-8)

CLOSED

About the Class

Roots of Regulation is a nature-based, occupational therapy-led class designed to help children develop essential self-regulation skills through movement, mindfulness, and sensory exploration. Set in a peaceful outdoor environment, this small-group experience fosters emotional awareness, body regulation, and resilience through breathwork, grounding exercises, and the Zones of Regulation framework. Through activities like guided breathing, nature-based sensory play, mindful movement, and calming strategies, children will learn to recognize their emotions, understand their energy levels, and develop tools to navigate daily challenges with confidence. The natural setting enhances relaxation, connection, and self-awareness, providing a supportive space for children to explore and grow. Ideal for children who benefit from structured yet playful self-regulation support, Roots of Regulation empowers young minds to find balance, focus, and calm—just like the strong, steady roots of a tree. Caregiver must remain on premises at all times.
