a) How long have you been playing piano, and what level of RCM have you achieved?Madhav has played the piano for approximately nine years, completed his grade 8 RCM several years ago, and is currently playing at the LRCM level. He studies renowned concert pianist Kate Liu, 3rd prize winner of the 17th International Chopin Competition, who studied at the Julliard School and Curtis Institute of Music and is actively on tour all over the globe. He actively participates in national and international level competitions and has participated in masterclasses with numerous concert artists. b) What method do you prefer to teach in, if any?Madhav's teaching approach is centred around classical repertoire, but he is flexible and open to exploring students' favourite genres, whether that's classical, jazz, or even pop. His teaching aims to introduce the beautiful language of music while catering to each student's unique needs.c) What ages and levels do you enjoy teaching the most?Madhav finds joy in teaching students of all ages, particularly the higher RCM levels, as the writing in these pieces starts to become harmonically interesting. He enjoys delving into the details of each piece, including history and different ways to interpret it.d)  What is something creative that you do in lessons which is unique to you?A distinctive aspect of Madhav's teaching is his ability to take initially daunting music concepts and make them approachable and enjoyable for his students.e) Three words that your students would describe you as?Madhav's students would describe him as passionate, patient, and considerate.
