Special Instructions

Members of this vocal group are required to be in weekly private lessons where students receive indivudual support reinforcing voice technique and learning our repertoire.  Private lessons do not need to be with a Coast Music instructor. Non-Coast Music instructors need to maintain direct communication with Coast Music' group director with access to the group's materials page, so they know exactly what to work on from week-to-week. Coast Music works hard to group the right musicians together and choose repertoire that will serve the class in this learning experience.  In the event a student needs to drop out of the group mid-session for any reason, including but not limited to schedule conflicts, injury or disinterest, they will not necessarily receive a refund. Coast Music will do our best to come up with a qualified replacement. This process typically takes two weeks. If we are able to find a suitable replacement student, we will refund all remaining weeks tuition to the original student’s account. We highly discourage students from dropping mid-session. Joining a band is a serious commitment and we strongly recommend students do their best to complete their session. Coast Music has the right to drop a student from the program at anytime if the Coast Music faculty feels a group member is not making sufficient progress or is not contributing to the ensemble in a positive way. A refund will only be issued if a suitable replacement is found to cover the remaining weeks of the session. Each covered week would be credited back to the original student’s account. Vocal ensemble participation is a serious commitment and it is vital that all members be present at every rehearsal. If a student must miss a rehearsal, we ask that they give the diirectorr as much notice as possible so we can plan the rehearsal as effectively as possible.
