Functional fitness builds strength, flexibility, and balance for navigating an independent world and the objects in it by replicating and practicing movements necessary: squatting, pulling, pushing, bending, climbing and walking This class will have you moving with no impact low intensity moves to improve cardio health, Pelvic floor strength, balance, mobility and full body strength. Join in and feel supported with safe exercises designed to keep you healthy and independent. Chairs, weights, along with additional equipment will be provided for a complete full body workout. These are in-person classes, held in the Upstairs Lounge/Event Room at the Uplands Recreation Centre.
These are in-person classes, taking place in the Lounge/Event Room at the Uplands Rec Centre. You must book into classes more than 30 minutes prior to the class start time, and you must cancel more than 12 hours ahead of the class if you cannot attend in order to be credited back that class.
