BEFORE YOU USE THE SAUNA: Read, understand and sign the waiver/release of liability Drink a minimum of 4 Oz. Of water Do not apply any lotions to your body (If you have, shower in advance) Allow 10 minutes for the sauna to warm up Place a thick towel on the seat & one towel at your feet to prevent sweat and body oils from penetrating the wood (If you did not bring your own towels please rent from the front desk staff - $2 Each) WHILE IN THE SAUNA: Wear bathing suit attire or shorts with a t-shirt, tank top or sports bra Do not bring metal objects (cell phones, iPods, etc) into the sauna You may drink water while in the sauna Please sit on the bench, do not lay down Do not touch the black infrared panels while in the sauna Relax – listen to the music provided (or bring your own CD), read a book or meditate If at any time you do not feel well (light-headed, dizzy), leave the sauna immediately (If the symptoms do not resolve themselves, seek medical attention) Keep Inflammable Materials Away (For your safety you must keep heat emanating appliances, corrosive materials and inflammable objects a safe distance away) AFTER YOU GET OUT OF THE SAUNA: Shower to thoroughly rinse off the sweat Drink plenty of water (Minimum 8 Oz) Rest (Your body burned calories by increasing your heart rate, cardiac output and metabolic rate) Wipe the Interior with mild soap and water after each use After every session, leave the sauna open for some time to ensure proper drying OTHER NOTABLE ITEMS: Turn off the infrared sauna after 2 hours of continuous use (Never operate the infrared sauna for more than 2 hours at a stretch. The same is true for the stereo equipment, fans or lighting that may be provided with the sauna. After 2 hours of use, it is advisable to turn off the sauna for at least an hour before resuming use) Keep Water Away from the Heat Tube (To prevent damage to the infrared heat tube, you must keep it away from moisture. Never spray or direct water towards it. When you clean the area around the heat tube, use minimal water and ensure prompt drying) Avoid the use of strong cleaners or sealers on the wood (Never use strong chemicals to clean the interior of the sauna. Such cleaners can damage the wood and also emanate toxic gases when the sauna is in operation)
