This level will teach the basic fundamental technique of pole dancing. We will go through safety tips including shoulder engagement and wrist alignment. This level will also help to build your strength with emphasis being placed on the upper body and core giving you the confidence to move to the next level. Every move you do gives you a great stretch, creating long lean muscles. You will feel stronger, your body will begin to tone and tighten, and you will feel muscles you never knew you had. There are 2 series in 101: Black (static) and Grey (spin pole). There are 8 shades of Black and 4 Grey. You will learn two moves in each series and how to link them together. You may start in any shade in either series and you may do both series at a time You must collect at least 4 shades of the Black (static) and 4 of the Grey (spin) before moving on to level 202. There are 8 shades in the Black (static) series: Carbon, Coal, Ebony, Jet, Midnight, Onyx, Raven and Slate. To avoid learning the same moves over and over, you can check your account to see which colours you have collected! One foot will always be on the ground so this is appropriate for all fitness levels. Pole 101 Black series is on static pole only. Pole 101 Grey series is on a spinning pole. Attire: Pole 101 Black (static): Pants or tights that cover the back of the knee to reduce friction. Runners or barefoot. Pole 101 Grey (spin): Shorts so that you can stick to the pole.
