Introducing: Sensory Friendly Saturdays at SMC! On the first Saturday of every month we will be transforming our gym into a calm and welcoming environment where you can move at your own pace. This event is designed to be inclusive and accommodating for individuals who may experience sensory sensitivities, such as those with autism, ADHD, or sensory processing disorder. These events prioritize comfort, safety, and accessibility, making them enjoyable for a broader range of participants.
We ask that you promptly follow directions of on duty staff. They are there for your safety and for the safety of all participants. If multiple warnings are given with no response, you will be asked to leave. Respect the space around fellow participants Keep excess noise to a minimum Encourage an atmosphere of inclusion Every participant must have a supervising adult with them Waivers must be completed Sensory and fidget toys must remain in their designated areas All regular open gym rules must be followed Participants are limited to Parkour, Ninja Warrior and Bouldering areas. No horseplay, rough-housing or games of any kind will be allowed are permitted. Please be mindful when using wooden pegs. Do not leave pegs laying around or scattered on the floor. Do not bang pegs together or against walls or equipment. Please ask for assistance when moving mats. Inform staff of any accidental water spills by the water fountain.
