About the Class

This class is designed to improve your cardiovascular fitness and your VO2max. According to many experts, VO2max is perhaps the single most powerful marker of longevity. This type of exercise is not to be avoided if you are serious about your health and life span. The sessions will focus on using the air bike, rowing machine, ski erg and sled for various interval lengths and intensities. The actual training time will vary from 10 to 20 minutes. During your rest times we will provide some mobility and core exercises for you to work on. Each week we will focus on improving intensity by tracking average watts (for the bike, rower, and ski erg) and lengths/weight for the sled. The class is designed for both beginners and advanced.   During this class you can expect to get sweaty, out of breath and feel great afterwards.

Special Instructions

Please bring a water bottle and towel with you to the session. If you are new to interval training, let the instructor know and take it slow. Focus on improving the numbers each week. Be ready to push yourself each week.  We recommend wearing a heart rate monitor for this class such as the Polar H10.
