New Swimmer Induction & Swim
About the Class
This session is mandatory for all swimmers new to our lake. The induction lasts around 15 minutes and includes a familiarisation of the venue, key safety information, and a supervised 150m swim to ensure you're comfortable in the water. After the induction, you're free to enjoy up to an hour of open water swimming. Over 18s only. You must complete this session before attending any standard swim. A brightly coloured hat is mandatory (one can be purchased onsite for £5). A towfloat is also mandatory if you are not wearing a full wetsuit (one can be hired onsite).
Special Instructions
Please be prepared to change outside. and arrive in plenty of time so you do not feel rushed. Following successful completion of your induction you will be able to swim for the rest of the hour. Make sure you have completed our online health questionnaire fully before arriving. Tow floats are compulsory for any non wetsuit swimmer - these are also available to buy or rent on site. You must be a confident enough and fit enough swimmer to be able to swim our 400m loop without stopping. If we observe that you are safe in the lake then we will send you a login email for this booking system Wellness Living Achieve where you can book and pay for your swims.
