About the Class

Our beginner-level students will begin to explore movements unique to Trapeze, while learning how to build strength, confidence, and basic sequencing on the apparatus. The class will also focus on incorporating conditioning, flexibility, and fundamental mechanics of the trapeze.  Level 1 Requirements: Students can perform basic poses such as bird's nest, mermaid, straddle back, and gazelle.  Fully invert to knee hook or side mount to seat unassisted. Can perform a lyra sequence with proper technique and a light spin. Can mount the Trapeze bar unassisted. Strong double knee hang marches with one leg fully extended and without travel straps.

Special Instructions

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS Arrive 5-10 minutes early for check-in if you did not pre-register for your class. Wear athletic clothing FREE of any zippers. We caution against excessively baggy clothes or clothes that expose the back of the knees or mid-section. Remove jewelry from fingers, wrists, neck, and any earrings that could tear or become caught. Bring a water bottle.
